The artists were not aiming to produce straightforward illustrations to the books,
but rather to reflect the images and ideas inspired by them. This exhibition is
an attempt to convey our own impressions of our favourite author’s works.
About the artists:
Arina Daur is an artist, a member of the Russian Artists’ Union, Vice-Rector of the "Academia"
Graphic Arts Center. She has organized international Monotype Festivals. In 2002,
she was awarded the title of “Queen of Monotype” at an exhibition at the Council
of Europe in Strasbourg.
Marina Krasilnikova is an artist and illustrator. She has experience of working in Communication
Arts and magazine illustrations. Participant of many regional and international
exhibitions. Organizer of exhibition projects.
Ekaterina Shemyak is an artist and illustrator, whose work has been widely exhibited.
